Seagrass-Climate Resilience Conference 2025

Next-Generation Tools for Seagrass-Climate Resilience: From Genes to Ecosystems

03rd–05th December 2025 | Sathyabama Research Park, Chennai, India

About ISCR 2025

The International Seagrass-Climate Resilience Conference 2025 is a global platform dedicated to advancing seagrass and associated foundation ecosystems research, conservation, and restoration, with a focus on their role in building climate-resilient coasts through carbon sequestration and biodiversity support.

The conference brings together scientists, policymakers, conservationists, and coastal communities, aligning with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and the Sustainable Development Goals. Alongside this, the Fisheries Day Celebration emphasizes sustainable fisheries, the invaluable contributions of fishers, and the importance of responsible practices in safeguarding marine resources and livelihoods.

By integrating both events, the program bridges scientific innovation with community-driven action. Together, the conference and the celebration highlight the urgent need for seagrass protection, fisheries sustainability, and climate resilience, ensuring benefits for both people and the planet.
